Believe it or not we just had our first forecast review using the scorecard. Here is my take on things:
- It reinforces our current sales engagement model
- It makes it easier for a new salesperson to adopt and understand our sales engagement model
- It is an excellent gauge as to where the deal stands
- It shortens our discussions about a deal
- In and of itself it is not a sales methodology
- We will tweak the form as time moves forward
All in all management loves it and we will continue to use it. I am constantly reminding them to ask for something when we get asked. Hopefully we will have drilled that into their brains.
